What’s a hardening sprint?

A hardening sprint is an increment of time dedicated to integrating testing, performance improvements, security reviews, and quality practices after code has been developed. At first, your teams may choose to implement a hardening sprint to ensure high-quality delivery.

Still, eventually, as the team improves their quality, DevOps, and integration practices, hardening sprints will become less necessary, and the technical debt backlog will shrink.
